As someone who loves reading about and following the trends of social networking and other emergent tech, Twitter has – as of yet – eluded me to some degree (I think it’s the 140 character limit lol). I already have social networks with family, friends and colleagues including MySpace, Bebo, Blogger, Ning and Facebook, so the need for telling random strangers what I had for breakfast – as the joke goes – seems kind of pointless. Still the pull of friends and colleagues, tied to my overwhelming urge to just check these things out and make up my own mind is probably going to be too hard to not join Twitter.
