Let me preface this by saying, I love my Amazon Kindle. It’s light, works outside in natural light (unlike my iPad) and the ‘Whispernet’ function is fantastic for purchasing books on the fly. Rumours are now flying that Amazon is going to introduce an Android based tablet, actually maybe a couple (in different sizes). If Amazon do release a ‘Kindle tablet’, it’s going to make things interesting, given a lot of people aren’t happy with the iBooks option on iPad (which is deplorable in Australia). Will Amazon sell a tablet cheap like they do with the kindle, knowing they’re going to recoup lost monies on content sales? I’m not sure I would bother with an Amazon tablet, despite being an early adopter. If you can’t see it in natural light, it’s still going to fail in some sense, still, I could be tempted.
