As you may know I am – academically speaking – a behavioral scientist. I love seeing the psychology and sociological works within digital and social media. The executive director of the UCLA Center for Digital Behavior – Sean Young – has an interesting article over at TechCrunch titled: The Social Psychology Of The Naked Selfie.
The piece looks at data security versus the trend of sexting (including the sending of sexually explicit photos of the self). Though the article goes a little off track with peer based processes of behavioral change, it’s still an interesting read for those who like the social science within the social media framework. Check it out if that’s you!
